Sewer, Drain & Related Plumbing Services

Sewer trouble may involve more than one part of a property’s plumbing system. Our related services address sewer and drain concerns as well as other plumbing needs.

Our available plumbing services include:

Sump and sewer pumps
Sewer and drain repair
Drain cleaning
Trenchless drain repair
Backflow testing and repair
Water treatment
Water heaters

Trenchless sewer repair can reduce the need for extensive excavation when conditions allow. Our technicians assess the existing line and type of failure before recommending the appropriate repair method.

What to Expect During Sewer Service

You can contact us to schedule a consultation for a suspected sewer problem. A technician assesses the situation, discusses the available repair options, and explains the recommendation so you can make an informed decision about your property.

We provide upfront, transparent pricing before approved work begins. Flexible financing and payment plans are available for customers who prefer to spread out the cost of qualifying work.

Sewer repair work is backed by our one-year labor warranty and applicable manufacturer warranties. If something isn’t right with our work, we’ll come back and make it right under our satisfaction guarantee.

How We Select a Trenchless Sewer Repair Method

Trenchless repair isn’t a single technique. The condition, material, depth, shape, and slope of the existing pipe determine whether the line can be rehabilitated from within or requires another repair route.

Cured-in-Place Pipe Lining
Cured-in-place pipe lining rebuilds a damaged pipe from the inside by installing and curing a new liner within the existing line. The host pipe generally must retain enough shape and a suitable grade for lining.

Pipe Bursting
Pipe bursting replaces an existing pipe along substantially the same path. It may be appropriate when replacement is a better option than installing a liner inside the old pipe.

Sectional & Spray-Applied Repairs
A sectional point repair addresses one damaged portion rather than rehabilitating an entire run. Spray-applied lining may be used for cast-iron pipe with numerous bends, depending on the line’s condition and configuration.

When Excavation May Be Necessary

A camera inspection records the pipe’s interior and can identify its material, failure location, depth, shape, and slope. This information guides repair planning, but it doesn’t automatically make a line suitable for trenchless lining.

A collapsed pipe, a long loss of grade, an undersized sewer lateral, or a route close to a foundation footing may require excavation, pipe bursting, or installation along a new route. Our technicians recommend a trenchless solution only after assessing the specific situation.

Public Sewer & Private Septic Systems in Rhinebeck

Properties in Rhinebeck don’t all use the same wastewater system. The Village of Rhinebeck municipal wastewater system serves about one-third of Village residents, while other Village properties rely on private septic systems. A property’s location and existing connection therefore matter when evaluating drainage or wastewater concerns.

Warning Signs That Need Evaluation

One slow fixture may indicate a localized clog, but several drains backing up at once can point to a broader sewer-system issue. Persistent slow drains, sewer odors, and unexplained wet areas in the yard also warrant professional evaluation.

These signs don’t reveal the cause on their own. The problem may involve a drain, sewer lateral, connection, or private septic system, so the repair decision should reflect the property’s setup and the conditions found.

Village Connection Requirements

Village of Rhinebeck property owners located within 200 feet of a public sanitary sewer must connect their plumbing to it, subject to exceptions for certain single-family and two-family properties. The rule for a particular property depends on its circumstances.

A building sewer connection to the Village public sewer requires a permit from the Village Board. The property owner is responsible for the cost of the lateral connection. Properties outside Village boundaries may connect to the Village sewer system only at the discretion of the Village Board of Trustees.

Public sewer connections can involve plumbing permits and property-specific requirements, so owners should confirm the applicable rules before planning connection work. A sewer assessment addresses the physical plumbing concern, while the Village determines permit and connection requirements.
